To bloom or not to bloom?

Unseasonably warm (80F) temperatures have brought a riot of color to the 2011 Holiday Season here in the Florida Gulf Coast. Confused, our bushes have started flowering, giving me fodder for photography practice. Shown above is our temperamental Camellia, which is about to receive a shock: the forecast calls for a hard freeze early THIS morning!

  1. Beautiful photo!!
It has been unseasonably mild in the Midwest, too, but not warm enough for flowers to bloom!

It's been mild for Illinois this year, too. No white Christmas for us.
